A 7-story-tall tall Whale in Love stands out as the largest water-mounted eco-installation in Kaohsiung.

Scientists estimate there is currently 150 million tons of plastic trash in the ocean, with approximately 8 million tons added every year. Established as the most important port city of Taiwan, an island country, Kaohsiung has decided to take action and create something to increase public awareness of this global environmental crisis.


Love Whale is the largest water-based environmental installation visual work in Taiwan. Through the recycle system, it collects more than 15 tons of plastic trash and assembles it into a 7-story whale installation art. The significance is to connect the land and the ocean and appeal to the public to pay attention to the problem of plastic trash pollution in the ocean.
